Court-Ordered Firearms Safety Training in Michigan
Training Built Around Your Court Requirement
Michigan Pistol Academy provides private, in-person remedial firearms safety training for individuals who have been directed to complete education by a court, attorney, probation officer, diversion program, or other authority. Before training, we review the documentation you provide so the instruction can address the subjects required in your specific situation.
The goal is not simply to hand you a certificate. It is to make sure you leave with a better understanding of firearm safety, Michigan law, responsible ownership, and the issues related to your individual training requirement.
At the completion of training, you will receive documentation describing the instruction completed.
What to Expect From the Training
This is a private, four-hour, in-person educational course designed around the requirements of the individual referral or court order. Training may include firearm safety, safe storage and transportation, Michigan firearm laws, responsible ownership, decision-making, situational awareness, and other subjects identified in the documentation provided.
No firearms are permitted or handled during this course. The emphasis is on education, understanding, and responsible decision-making.
Because every situation is different, the course is not treated as a one-size-fits-all program. We allow time for questions, discussion, and clarification so the student understands not only what the rules are, but why they matter.
